Summary
Hermione felt life had dealt her the worst of blows. Having been through a war as a Hogwarts student, becoming a healer at St. Mungo’s hospital after, then losing the man she loved. She had become a shell of who she used to be. The bright, forgiving and clever 'golden girl' had gone, replaced by a cold and empty woman pondering if it was worth living at all. All she felt was hate and heartbreak, going about life unchecked and uncaring as she hunted death eaters and traitors alike. But what would happen when she learnt of her true origins and of the power that grew within her.

Hermione's had her fair share of first dates, false starts, and fizzled romances. She’s doing great at St. Mungo’s, but the whole "coming home to an empty flat" thing is wearing thin. Then Draco Malfoy — recently returned from France, surprisingly charming, and irritatingly attractive — asks her out. And she says yes.
What starts as one nervous, hopeful dinner in Hermione’s flat turns into something that feels suspiciously like the start of forever. Fast emotional burn, slow physical burn, lots of fluff, healing, and a quietly swoony Draco who might’ve moved countries just to be near her.
Because maybe this time… it’s the electric touch that finally sticks.

Summary
In a post war world where everyone is doing their best to return to normalcy, we have Hermione, a single Apothecary owner attempting to do it all alone. And a potions master Draco who is doing everything he can to make amends and finally find where he belongs. It won't be easy for either of them as there is still a lot of prejudice in the Wizarding world. Threats to Hermione's life become more frequent and the more Draco tries to help the more he jeopardizes everything he's worked so hard to build.
At the end of the day he's a death eater courting the golden girl. At the end of the day she's a mudblood fucking a blood traitor.
There seems to be no way to win this game they never signed up for anyway.
