Summary
“Thank you!” The woman panted, choking out whatever words she could. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!” She continued sobbing while Techno whispered conventionally assuring things in her ear. Whispering, for the sake of keeping his voice unknown, and conventionally assuring things because he didn’t know how to comfort people to save his life. “Billy, say thank you to the nice… nice..” realizing she didn’t know Techno’s gender, she trailed off. “…nice person!” She managed, tugging at her son’s arm who was staring at Techno like his favorite cartoon came to life.
“Thank you, mister hero…”
The boy thanked, star struck. Techno’s breath hitched in his throat, though. He whispered a goodbye and walked down the building back onto the bridge, brown hair falling out of his hoodie. He guessed the woman didn’t see his hair, though, or at least he hoped she didn’t. It would be much better if she didn’t.

Summary
Then, Techno scrambled to his feet and pulled Philza up with him too. Phil hesitated, not wanting to get up nor hold the latter’s hand when he was pulled up. Though, he did. As worth it as this was, as much as it gave meaning to his life, it was double-sided. He would have something to live for, even if it’s a cultist he met a few weeks ago, a leader, for that matter.
The words felt and tasted bitter on his tongue, as if, if he said it enough, he would believe himself and leave Techno. Though, he couldn’t, and so, he guided Techno to his apartment. It wasn’t anything interesting, but Techno acted as if it was unseen. For a moment, he let himself almost fall asleep on the couch as he shuffled away from it in the next. Then, Philza sat him down.
“Can you sit still?”
Phil joked that night, Techno looked at him with mild discomfort. Had he said something weird? Phil had not the confidence, nor the motivation, to ask Techno about the discomfort, and so, he stayed quiet.

OR! The fic is sweet friendship between a cult leader Techno and a miserable guy Philza but Techno ends up being reckless in the end. Angst.
