"This was your glorious plan? Distracting me and then stab my back?"
"I wanted to cut your throat!" Pete argued, scowling at Vegas.
"Maybe you shouldn't let me fuck you senseless before you make your move, stupid whore."
Pete struggled more until he felt drops of blood running down his wrists as the tight merciless handcuffs were breaking his skin. Vegas slid the blade over Pete's chest. He didn't cut him, but the tip scratched over his skin.
"Look at these defiant eyes. Seems like I have to lecture you more thoroughly." Vegas dug the tip of the blade into Pete's skin, drawing a thin crimson line right below his ribcage. Pete suppressed every reaction to this by force.
"If you want to beg for your life you should do it now, little slut."
Pete spat into Vegas' face.
Or: Sold by his father at a young age and abused by his boss for years, Pete doesn't seem to have much to lose when he is assigned to go undercover in a BDSM club and kill one of Thailand's most influential mafia leaders. Leaving the place alive seems all but impossible, but it obviously is. Even if it means becoming Vegas Theerapanyakul's personal pet.

He glared at him but he finally backed off of Pete and started to walk away when Pete began to call out, “Vegas.”
“Don’t.”
“Let me help you.”
“I don’t need your help, bodyguard.” He said the last word with a disgusted tone.
Not knowing what else to say because clearly Vegas wasn’t taking the hint, Pete rubbed his face and shouted out, “You asshole!”
That made Vegas halter in his step. Slowly, he faced Pete again and asked, “What did you say?”
He didn’t hesitate and enunciated, “You asshole.”

Or Pete is assigned to help Vegas out on a mission to gather intel. However, a small incident occurs that has the potential to affect their newfound relationship.

Summary
Khun Vegas knows things before he has the words for them. He finds the correct words for what Pete is to him and then comes to understand that he can also have the words before he fully knows what he can do with them.
Pete knows the temperature of the tea, the width of the curtain, the weight of a thing correctly named. He sees things that were not meant for his eyes, he sees things as they are, he sees the shape of Khun Vegas. He is very good at staying.
