This is a collection of thoughts I've had about what happened, in real terms, in Middle Earth after Sauron was defeated.
As it was at the beginning of the Hobbit, Middle Earth was recovering from several very nasty wars; with all the ruins scattered about, and blasted heaths, and monsters seemingly around every corner, King Aragon had a lot on his hands to really bring peace to the West.
