Summary
Based on @glitchgh0sty's Decepticon Prowl comic on tumblr.
Jazz is a spy sent to infiltrate the Decepticons and discover the source of their mysterious "Ghost Soldiers": Mechs that have been augmented to allow the Decepticons superior tactical planning whenever one is present.
So far, all the Autobots know is that somewhere within the Decepticons base, the source of these Ghost Soldiers advanced tactics is a supercomputer they've each been connected to. Jazz's mission either to steal or destroy this source, but discovers the "super computer" in question is actually a single mech named Prowl.An extremely unhealthy Mech named Prowl.
In an effort to get closer and uncover more secrets of both Prowl and the Ghost program, Jazz signs up to become one of these soldiers himself. (Much to Prowls distress, as Jazz had been making an active effort to be kind to him.)
Now the two are bound together, as the Ghost program is actually a Nerve Sync: An advanced surveillance system allowing Prowl to receive real time sensory data from the frontlines through an augmented Ghost Soldier.
So the guy Jazz is supposed to kill/kidnap has a painful wire tap inside his body. No biggie.He's just a little tired.

Summary
It turns out that being wired into giant war machines doesn’t play nice with human brains. The Earth Mechanical Defense Force, or EMDF, learned that the hard way when their pilots started going… neurotic, let’s say, after a few missions.
The obvious solution to that problem was to simply wire the pilot into their mecha permanently, that way their mind wasn’t being strained by the constant in and out. Unfortunately that strategy backfired and the pilots started going neurotic much, much faster, and this time they were giant and made of metal and much harder to put down.
So, the obvious next step would be to pull the plug on that idea and go back to the drawing board, right? No, that’s ridiculous, the next step was obviously to simply…
Make the mecha forget they’d ever been human in the first place.
Somewhere along the line someone should have pulled the plug, but they’d already invested so much into the project, and you know what they say about sunk cost fallacy.

Summary
Prowl is one of a dozen Praxian Enforcer Models created to infiltrate the paramilitary group of insurgents calling themselves 'Decepticons'.
When Praxus falls, her agents are left adrift. Some flee—to the Autobots or the stars beyond Cybertron. Others remain, having experienced very little of life outside the Decepticons, and having little desire to.
Prowl, deeply entrenched in their poorly managed tactical department, is in too precarious a position to risk any form of extraction. They all know it. And his fellow Praxians know better than to risk their own stations on old sentiment.
Enter Jazz, Decepticon T&I's newest darling, and the absolute bane of Prowl's existence.
