Summary
Simon takes a breath. Than another. He lays his face in his hands instead of smashing it against the iron, he thinks his mom would've been proud of him for somehow not exploding in anger. God, Simon knows for a fact none of this was in the manual he skimmed. No helpful section on what to do if you find yourself with an obnoxious alien speaking directly into your mind.
“Rocky no obnoxious! Rocky try save mean human from leak. Human want to die question?”
“Wait”, that got Simon’s attention, “what do you mean a leak?”
What if after Simon gets sent down for the second time he doesn't meet Ellie, but someone else? Featuring Grace as the mysterious radio voice and Rocky as a too-friendly blood rock alien hellbent on fixing Simon's ship.

Summary
It's been years since Doctor Ryland Grace saved Erid and Earth. He is content with his life, happy just to teach the next generation of Eridians and have the occasional game night with Rocky and Adrian in his dome. For the most part, nothing changes.
And that's the problem. Shouldn't Grace, y'know...age? When Rocky indicates that he should be sixty human years old by now, Grace can't reconcile the young face in the mirror with the time that his friend has religiously kept.
Things get more complicated when another undoubtedly human ship shows up at the edge of the 40 Eridani system. Suddenly Grace is playing ambassador between the two species, and tensions are rising between them. Will this be a successful second contact, or is the peaceful life Grace just wants to live too much to ask for?

Summary
All of Erid waited to greet their saviors. The brave twenty-three Eridians that left to save their planet. Only one emerged. And… something else.
Erid has seen little of Grace and Rocky. The alien is sick. Rocky is the only one who knows how to take care of it. They have clung to each other desperately tight. And Grace is worried. Rocky has not seen Adrian more than a handful of times since they arrived six months ago. Rocky has essentially no social life. They have not left each other’s sides for nearly five years. This is, obviously, a problem.
Grace isn’t as sick. He doesn’t need Rocky to take care of him anymore. And Grace will do what he has to so that Rocky can resume living a normal life with Adrian. So what if Grace absolutely can’t be alone? So what if the thoughts are getting overwhelming? So what if Adrian kind of hates him? This is for Rocky’s sake. He’ll be okay.
But Grace has severely underestimated how much he needs Rocky. How much Rocky needs him.

Summary
It’s as Shen Qingqiu crushes the last little fluttering Iridescent Gem Beetle that the mother decides to introduce herself by burrowing up out of the earth like a cicada the size of an elephant. He just barely has time to resign himself to an even more exhausting fight than the last one - with no rest point in between to chug stamina potions or anything! Honestly, what poor game design! - when the stranger appears.
He charges into the scene out of nowhere like an absolute bullshit deus ex machina, all dark, flowing hair and robes, whirling around to stab at the Mother Beetle with a gleaming white sword, making it screech and rear back in pain. Seriously, Shen Qingqiu feels like he’s suddenly trapped in a video game cutscene introducing the new companion! Where’s the background music and camera close up? Who is this guy?

Shen Qingqiu happens to meet a mysterious stranger on the road, but he surely isn't important or relevant to the plot in the slightest.
