Kiryu elbowed back and glared at a man that had tried pushing his way past him. “Whatever you're getting at just spit it out already.”
They finally squeezed their way out of the sea of people and Nishikiyama reached towards him, swinging an arm over his shoulders and looking around conspiratorially.
“They were talking about it as if they'd gone in and used the equipment and shit.” Noting Kiryus blank stare, he elaborated. “Which means there must be a way inside, and if those two boneheads found it, so can we.”
Or: Nishiki and Kiryu sneak into the not-yet-open batting center, have a run-in with a dog and a tiger, and Kashiwagi reevaluates all the life choices that led him to play babysitter to teenagers.

Majima must’ve noticed how tense he'd gotten after sitting down, and nudged his knee with his own to get his attention.
“If you have questions, just ask ‘em. Not goin’ anywhere for a long while anywho.” That was another thing. What were they doing here?
“What... picture, did you see?” One thing at a time. And starting with this seemed like a no brainer, it having been bothering him since before even leaving Pink Street and all.
Majima turned to look at him, eye wide and mouth twisted up into an amused grin.
“S’that really what yer worried about right now, Kiryu-chan?"

“Dad-!” The word felt alien in his tongue, and it slipped out before he could think twice about it.
There was erratic shuffling and curses from the room at the end of the hall before the two men barreled out of it.

Ryoma had sat on his good side, so he could see from the corner of his eye that he looked deep in thought, looking forward at the fire and mulling something over. After a moment, Ryoma turned his head to face him. Okita felt compelled to do the same, while still leaning back heavily against the wall.
“Let me help.” He hated how casual and innocent the offer sounded.

"You should come up," Sagawa tells him. Not so far off from the bar, they've come to a halt in front of an apartment complex, not a hotel, though he'd told him he's here on business.
"I ain't full service," Majima says bluntly. He'd anticipated this. Sagawa hasn't touched him once, and he doesn't seem lonely enough to pay for a little conversation. He doesn't seem lonely at all. It's uncommon quality to have in Kamurocho, though he sounds like he's from Osaka, the loneliness of which Majima is uncertain of.
Having escaped from Shimano's custody, Majima takes up a side job to make ends meet.
