There’s no way. There’s no fucking way. Steve was clearly losing his mind - maybe it was the sleep deprivation, or something about the water in California causing him to hallucinate.
He blinked hard and willed his eyes to not see what he thought he was seeing. He shakes his head as he opens his eyes to an impossible sight: Eddie Munson. Alive. Right here, right now.

It's 1992 and Nancy is covering the VMAs and brings Steve along. What Steve didn't bargain for though, is seeing a ghost, and everything that follows.

This is just kinda expounding within canon Eddie/Chrissy fluff with some POV.
“Eddie Munson, you are the sweetest guy,” was all Chrissy could manage after her laughter faded into just a grin. She wasn’t sure if it was the drugs or the company, but in this moment, life felt alright - like everything was going to be okay, and even if it wasn’t, she didn’t care because everything felt so small.
Eddie felt his ears go hot and face flush. He could have melted in that moment: Chrissy Cunningham, cute, sweet, perfect Chrissy wanted to spend time with him, Eddie Munson.

BL/I had determined that early candidacy for the program led to better outcomes, and less failure. The Tube required a great deal of energy, and resorting to Draculoidization after so much effort was put into a Product…
It was unacceptable.
Harrington was stripped of his first name at 13, and became a Scarecrow at 16, gaining the Mark on his back to deem him worthy.
At 18 he gained the X that signified his elevation to Exterminator.
