“Not everywhere, Shittykawa,” Hajime grumbles. He picks up Tooru’s duffle bag and suitcase like they weigh nothing, like Tooru isn’t known for over-packing, like the weight of all his clothes and shoes and skincare items don’t add up to anything. “Gas is fuckin’ expensive here.”
“Iwaizumi Hajime, do you kiss your mother with that foul mouth of yours?”
“No,” he says, and Tooru sees the corner of his lips turn upwards as he tosses the luggage into the trunk. “But I do kiss my boyfriend with it.” -

Summary
He stares dumbly at the guy for a few seconds, his brain struggling to catch up between his drunken haze and that weird gravitational pull he felt his way here. “Hey,” he repeats, breathless. He shakes his head and rights himself up again, trying to come back to earth. “Name’s Sylvain.”
The guy looks even more confused, but there’s a hint of something alongside it. Entertained, maybe? Intrigued? Nevertheless, he gives Sylvain a half smile and says, “cool, I’m Claude.”
Claude, his mind stupidly repeats. “Claude.”
Claude just blinks at him. He laughs a little, Sylvain’s chest aching in a weird way from it. “Yep, that’s me.”

“So? How bad are they?”
Bad? Claude stares at his face. Are we looking at the same thing?
The glasses are thin black wire frames, with the lenses being rimless on the top that seems to display Sylvain’s eyes perfectly. They sit comfortably on the bridge of his nose. They make him look older, certainly, but like a grandpa? Definitely not the ones Claude is used to seeing.
They add this air of…authority, almost. He looks distinguished. Mature. And certainly he’s all those things—Sylvain is a war hero, a leader alongside Claude, far more intelligent than people take him for—but the glasses just…amplify it all. He looks good. He looks really good. -

Claude’s head falls forward and he looks at Sylvain, and his face stokes the burning wildfire in his chest, brows drawn and dark flush to his cheeks and sweat dripping down his forehead and pupils blown out and mouth dropped open around a moan, Sylvain’s name the only coherent word. And Sylvain thinks, not for the first time tonight, that he may have been wrong about God growing up, and that maybe He is real, and that maybe, just maybe, He’s taken the form of the man in front of him. And Sylvain thinks that if that’s the case, then he’ll be praying and worshipping much more often from now on.

“Bullshit,” Hayden responds. “You never have plans.”
Objectively, this used to be true. Nowadays Shane has many, many plans, between his nightly plans to look at Ilya’s penis through Skype and his various long-term plans laid out helpfully in his notebook, Canva (For Ilya’s sake. He is a visual learner), and more recently, Excel. Shane loves that excel sheet. He’s colour coded it.
In 2017, Shane Hollander spirals and proposes to his boyfriend of 4 days (or 7 years, or 9 years, or not his boyfriend at all, depending on how you look at it), which leads to a lot of plans, weird theories in the Montreal Voyageur locker room, some Twitter drama, and Ilya Rozanov entering his WAG era.

Summary
A series on (mis)communication, starring Shane and Ilya as they navigate their relationship (plus Rose and Svetlana, eventually). Kind of a mosaic of missing moments, Hollanov revisiting early relationship lore and sometimes just having some (horny) fun.
Fics are meant to be read as standalone stories, but contain references to one another. They span from pre-cottage to married life. I tried to arrange them chronologically, but the 5+1s are all over the place time-wise.
