    Summary

Obi-Wan was expecting a lot of different things when he confronted his fallen padawan on the Death Star. He was not naive enough to expect to survive the battle. No, he was prepared to enter into a peaceful rest beyond. So when Obi-Wan woke in the Healing Halls of a home long destroyed, he was rightfully confused. The Force was not done with him yet, it seemed. The Force had granted Obi-Wan the chance to change the horrific future that awaited them all, and Obi-Wan was never one to disobey the Force’s will. Obi-Wan would change the future, even if it meant he needed to leave the Jedi Order to do it. After all, Obi-Wan was on a sacred mission!

Now, if only these Mandalorians would leave him alone so he could continue his journey, that’d be great! Obi-Wan may look like a child, but he certainly wasn’t one! (The strange childish feelings and urges notwithstanding)

Meanwhile, Jaster Mereel was willing to fight everyone to keep this small Jedi ad safe. As far as the Mandalorians were concerned, the Jedi had lost their claim to the youngling the second he ran away. Even if the youngling seemed determined to go on some strange mission, Jaster would make sure that the ad stayed at home where he belonged.

“You do know you’re going up against Mandalore’s two best bounty hunters, right?” Myles asked when they turned back to look at Obi-Wan.
Well, kriff. His mind helpfully reminded him now, after he’d just handed them the hunt of the century. Obi-Wan cleared his throat and lifted his chin. “Yes. What about it?”
Jango chuckled. “We’ll give you ten minutes head start.”
Myles turned to the chrono. “And it starts…now.”
Obi-Wan stared at them for a moment, blinking, then catapulted himself off the bed and out of the room.
    He had to win.

    Summary

It started with a job, then a small one-bedroom house, and then he learned as much of the customs as he could of the planet he was on. They really seemed to hate the Jedi, they seemed to enjoy war, and they had the most fascinating food.

Their language was one he picked up in bits and pieces over the next three years. Learning Mando’a was not exactly easy, not when he was positive at least fifty different words meant dagger or stab, but he enjoyed the challenge. One unfortunate incident with the language had left him rather flustered when a twi'lek had asked him if he wanted to play with her dagger with a suggestive look. He was still positive he had mistranslated something in his head, but the time he had merely smiled politely and quickly walked away.

    Summary

“I just don’t get it,” Anakin groans. He’s crouched behind a large plant pot, high up on the terrace of a restaurant he may or may not have at one point been banned from for “disturbing the atmosphere.” Below him, in a private, very expensive courtyard (he should know, he used Padmé’s accounts to pay) are Obi-Wan and Quinlan, finishing a very expensive meal, and being serenaded by a very expensive violinist. “Why hasn’t he proposed yet?”
