'His uncle's lip curled, secretive in nature and sharp as it ran through Daeron. He was suddenly acutely attuned to every inch of separation between them.
Baelor must have noticed the dazed quality about him as he took a step back and hung the cloth over the basin, concern showing in deep lines over his face. "Are you still with me, Daeron?"
There was a pulsing throb so low in his gut that Daeron didn't dare relax himself where his thighs were pressed together. Summary
The Young Prince wished to see his face despite himself, to know if memory served and his cousins hair was brown, or blond, but there was no seeing past the drapery concealing him.
When he came to sit at the chair in the middle, Valarr was stuck with a chilling sense of dread. He looked like the Stranger to him, and Valarr wondered for a moment if he was going to shepherd them to their death, not salvation. If he’d whisper a dream that would take his father from him, though he’d not dreamt of what had claimed Matarys.
Aerion stiffened next to him, and before Valarr had a chance to wonder if his cousin thought the same, the pale haired man leaned in to whisper in his ear.
“He looks like a god.”The Dreamer dreamed, and the Kingdom listened.
But when dreams are no longer being circumvented, and Targaryen’s are dropping like flies amongst their stunted dragons, King Baelor sends his only living son, Valarr, to Dragonstone alongside his last free cousin, Aerion. Beneath the Dragonmont, they meet the Dreamer. -
