It kept Wise on his toes, he often found it hard to find someone who could keep up in conversation with him, but Lighter had no trouble at all, in only a few minutes he felt smitten.
Lighter was beyond handsome, a crooked smile on his lips, only pulling Wise in further. He had never considered the looks of other men, but he might have had a discovery that night.
But it was all ready to crash down. Lighter said something, a joke, maybe a poor excuse for a flirt, he didn’t know, but it made him laugh. As he opened his eyes, he caught Belle’s gaze.

The fuzzy soda burned as it threatened to exit his nose, coming up from his lungs, which suddenly couldn’t get enough oxygen as he began coughing. “You what?” Wise managed to blurt between coughs.
“I like you, Wise.” Ok, so he did hear that right, good. Well not for his heart, but it was probably fine.
“You’re sure?” He finally regained his breathing, throat sore as it sucked in another breath.
Lighter simply laughed, and gods that sounded quite nice. “Why wouldn’t I be?”

“Proxy? Yer really here?” Lighter swung his legs out and with all the strength and force of a professional fighter, he pulled Wise toward himself, wrapping his arms around the waist and pressing his head to Wise's stomach.
