Nanami gave him a severe look. He was shorter than Gojo, yet he still managed to stare him down. There was a strange authority in the somber dip of his chin.
“I suppose you wouldn’t understand.”
“Understand what?”

There are a lot of words one could use to describe Gojo Satoru.
Loving is not one of them. He knows this. Superficially. It's a second-hand understanding at best, because how can someone explain to the sun about why it should love the moon?
But when an incident with a Cursed Object temporarily turns Gojo into a three year old, it becomes obvious to everyone around him that he isn't as self-centered as he seems.
AKA: A Cursed Object turns Gojo into a toddler with serious attachment issues, and for the first time in nearly twenty years, Gojo Satoru is truly unmasked.

Summary
After Itachi's cover in the Akatsuki is blown, the truth about the Uchiha Massacre comes to light very suddenly and unexpectedly. Sasuke's entire world is flipped upside down, and Konoha itself is reeling from the knowledge that the murder of an entire clan was not only sanctioned, but covered up completely. Sasuke becomes determined to find out what happened to Itachi, and also to bring those who were really responsible for his clan's downfall to justice. Fortunately, he's not the only one who is horrified by the truth, and ends up finding unexpected allies that change how he sees himself, his brother, and his village. The problem is, he has no idea how to feel about Itachi, or if he's even still alive.

finally finished this (start to finish in a few hours!). ita amazing. definitely kind of loses a bit of quality in the last arc (in terms of writing and in depth narrative) but the story feels strong and grounded all the way through.
spoilers!!: Eren Yaeger reborn as Uzumaki Naruto in Konoha. He's mistreated and shunned, but with his determination to be free and past memories, he grows up smart and strong and seeks for a way out of the shackles of the village. He befriends Kurama (not as fluffy as other stories) and desires to free him and all tailed beasts and prevent their sealing. He leaves Konoha during the chuunin exams (where Sand and Sound successfully invade and decimate half of Konoha's nin) and goes to Uzushio, joined early by Shisui, Gaara and Haku. They recruit several other jinchuuriki and plan to destroy Konoha and place Uzushio as a refuge for those seeking freedom from slavery. They recruit Akatsuki and other villages to help invade and destroy Konoha, since Sandaime refused their offer to make public the truth of the Uchiha Massacre and Danzo's crimes. They successfully release the Bijuu, who all go on to cause destruction in the villages they were imprisoned in, Shisui kills Danzo (and is saved by Itachi) and decimate Konoha until Sandaime finally gives in. The true nature of ROOT is discovered by Inuzuka Tsume, who also reveals this to the world. Konoha is devastated and abandoned, with civvies and ninja alike going to other places, though many go to Uzushio (including Tsunade, eventually, to heal Kakashi who leaves afterwards). It ends with a 23 year old Naruto surveying his bustling village and family 7 years later, and the appearance of a new Uchiha toddler named Uchiha Arashi (and maybe another child?).
