Summary
It's not jealousy. Adrian is adamant about that. They are actually insisting that it’s not any emotion at all. Not even dislike. They are simply completely uninterested in anything that concerns “the human”.
Rocky believes them. Adrian has always been the level-headed one out of the two of them. They are too logical to be jealous. They acknowledge that Grace and Rocky have a special bond after everything they went through together and also understand that none of that will ever pose a threat to their relationship.
Neither are they heartless or ungrateful. They know that Grace is the only reason that Rocky is back at all, the only reason their star has stopped dying. Adrian has told Rocky again and again that they are grateful and happy and wish the alien no ill will. They even helped with the construction of the biodome.
And yet they have no desire to get to know Grace.

"Iz huhg," Grace sniffled out, sucking back in moisture from his noze, too. There was moisture and water and everything all over the place. "Huhg meens grayt, grayt, grayt affekshun."
"Oh," he said tentatively. Another hewmin thing! He shuffled closest to the wall Grace was huhging and leaned in. "Oh. Am I doing correctly, hmm?"
"Yis," Grace sighed out, calming down. He still leaked, though.
Oh, well. Leaky hewmins were his favorite, after all.

Summary
Rocky has officially moved into Hail Mary with Grace, but he's still dealing with the aftereffects of living nearly fifty human years by himself. By chance, he finds himself singing with Grace, and it's clear Grace doesn't fully understand what that means for Eridians.
This story roughly follows the plot of both the book and the film, but Rocky and Grace's personalities are more reminiscent of the book. Furthermore, Rocky's speaking style closely follows the book, although his physical appearance is closer to his depiction in the film.

Summary
Adrian's POV from Erid, as Rocky and Grace arrive home from their journey.
Adrian spends centuries grieving the loss of their mate, eventually accepting that the love of their life will never return to them. When they discover that there is a survivor returning to the planet, with an alien, Adrian agrees to help create a biodome for the creature that helped saved their star... without realizing that they also were called to be informed that the survivor is their Mate. Adrian experiences their grief anew as they prepare to welcome the sole survivor - whoever it may be - and the alien they are now responsible for housing, home to Erid.
