“You know what?” Kal said, mischief gleaming far too brightly in his eyes. “How about this? I dare you guys to go camping my way. No air mattresses. No pre-made meals. No Wi-Fi. None of the million-dollar equipment in front of me.”
Bruce watched every single one of his kids perk up with interest.
‘Shit.’
Not one of them would ever back down from a dare.
His jaw clenched. “Kal-El,” He said again, sharper this time.
Before he could step in and shut it down, Kal opened his mouth and sealed their fate.
“I bet you can’t do it.”
Anger surged through Bruce as determination flared in his children’s eyes. He saw Damian puff up, ready to-
“I accep-”
“Clark. Joseph. Kent.”
The effect was immediate. Kal’s victorious grin vanished as he snapped his head toward Bruce. The room fell silent. Kal straightened, then unconsciously hunched as he walked toward him, like a chastened kid called to the principal’s office.

Summary
Bruce Wayne is a closed off person. Everyone knows he's good at everything. But he wasn't always like this. Before he was emotionally constipated, he was undisciplined and reckless(still is).
When the Justice League gets in an off world battle and Batman is hit with a beam of light that de-ages him back to 18, they are hit in the face with the fact their most disciplined comrade was an absolute brute when he was younger. And all the trauma that comes with the training Bruce forced himself through. Also his kids are here. They hate this and want their dad back.

But when he is kidnapped on his way to work by a group of Neo-Death Eaters bent on dragging him to their side he genuinely believes that his life may very well end this time. So much so that when the Golden Boys themselves show up to save him, he can't bring himself to trust it.
