In a different universe, All Might beat All for One the first time. He quietly retired, leaving things to the next generation. Class 1-A were not attacked by villains, Nomus never existed and there was no war.
Midoriya Izuku also never got All Might’s quirk. He never went to UA. He never became a hero.

Midoriya Izuku is medically quirkless, not technically homeless, perpetually exhausted and doing his damned best despite it all. He also sees spirits, which might be cool if not for the fact that a) no one else does, b) they really don't like him very much, and c) he's pretty sure the heroes now think he's a villain working for the League.
Aizawa Shota just wants to take down Overhaul, rescue Eri, keep his students alive, get some rest, and find out how this Deku kid knows things he absolutely should not know about his personal life and the Shie Hassaikai case.
Unless Nighteye's right, and the kid really is a villain.

After a bad diagnosis that paints an early death for Inko Midoriya, the kind mother does whatever she can to give Izuku a good life outside heroics. Buying a coffee shop? Check. Teaching her child how to run an analysis website? Done. Adopting a certain horned child using dubious means while ensuring they stay together? Already handled.
Everything she did was to help him. After all, she may believe in Izuku's dream, but no one else did.His mother passing away was a shock for Izuku. However, he has a coffee shop to manage, a website to run, and a traumatized child to raise. Heroics seems far away for the green bean, and he's accepted that. But just because he doesn't have a license, heroics runs deep in Izuku's soul, and soon he'll find that those that need a hero find him instead.
Now if he could just get Aizawa to stop bugging him for analysis's during his break.

Summary
The first time Izuku discovered the clinic, he was six years old.
It was his first time being severely injured since he was diagnosed quirkless. A couple of Kacchan's friends pushed him into some boulders and his arm ended up broken. Badly. But when Inko tried to rush him to the closest emergency room, he was denied treatment. So Inko, being the strong, smart, independent woman she was, took matters into her own hands.
As a quirk discrimination attorney, she had heard rumors of underground clinics that would treat anyone, no (medically unnecessary) questions asked. So the woman called in a favor and quickly located the nearest to the Midoriya household.
To the naked eye, it seemed to be an abandoned laundry mat, but once you were inside it was a fully functioning (if not very underfunded) hospital.
There were doctors and nurses (legal and otherwise) everywhere.
And that was when Izuku fell in love.

"I thought we could all watch a movie together," Midoriya pouted. "You don't want to?"
Of course, he wanted to join them. But he didn't know that he should. He never knew what he was and wasn't supposed to do around his friends anymore, now that they were together. He was the odd thing on the edge of the painting that didn't quite fit the painter's style- the thing that would keep art enthusiasts confused for years after the artist's passing. When the painting was hung in grand halls, people would always want to know why that odd thing was there in the background because it was evident to anyone who looked that it just didn't belong.
"I wouldn't want to intrude," Shouto finally stated. Because that's all he felt like he'd been doing as of late when it came to his two best friends. Of course, he wanted to spend time with them. But he couldn't help feeling left out whenever he was around them, even though it wasn't their fault.
