Unfortunately, it just so happens they are the two stubbornest people in the entire Sol System. Neither is fully familiar with the other's culture, and both are certain the other would never desire them in the same way. It's truly a slow-motion train wreck.

"Don't they use t-ball at that age?" Reyna asked, her lips curving upward.
Percy sharply inhaled, "Eeeeh, details, details. What matters is that I have a trophy in my room."
"Is it an LVP trophy? Least valuable player?"
Smiling, Percy tilted his head and looked, truly looked at her. This was a different version of Reyna, one…one that she deserved, for god knows she had been through more shit than most.
"What?" She asked, tugging at her skirt.
Percy shook his head, realizing he'd been staring a bit too much. "Retirement looks good on you."
