Summary
The war did not end when the fighting stopped.
So’lek carries the weight of survival like a vow, a promise to avenge all he lost. Tamtey carries it like a makeshift weapon with an edge so sharp it cuts her as much as it cuts them. Bound by loss and shaped by violence, they circle one another carefully. Two warriors who know too much about how to endure, but not enough yet about falling back.
As vengeance gives way to protection and attention turns into something harder to ignore, together they begin the slow, painful work of facing what was done to them.
TLDR; in which So’lek and Tamtey tell a story of shared grief, unspoken devotion, and the difficult work of choosing to heal (while Ìley & Amay are being two winged puppies).

Tav paced the room, checking everything was where it ought to be. Everything she had known about the sorcerer since meeting him should’ve told her to run far away - and she might have done just that, had they not been bound by the unwelcome guests burrowing into their brains. Even now, the petulant creature slithering about up there should have focused on her self preservation, preventing her from going through with any of this…but there was a far more powerfully motivating feeling that drove her.
Lust.
Danger sparked adrenaline that burned through her like liquid fire, settling to a pool of arousal and anticipation as the source of the danger came ever closer. She knew it was him before he put his hand on the latch of the door.
The Dark Urge. Durge. The song that she couldn’t get out of her head, the puzzle she wanted to solve, the soul, gods willing, that she might just be able to save…if salvation even mattered. Before that, before redemption and revelation, there was tonight.
