Most people who have these dreams are mages, and most mages will have a soulmate dream at some point in their lives. A person can have multiple soulmates or only the one, but the dream will only reveal them at the exact right moment.

    Jade and Floyd had always been weird. Too weird for most of their classmates and peers, certainly. And when they learn they’re soulmates despite being related, they assume that’s the end of any involvement with anyone else. After all, no one in their right mind would ever be willing to share two brothers, and certainly no one would accept those brothers being soulmates themselves.

    Who would ever guess that their favorite little octopus, the one they both so badly wanted to keep, would be willing to accept them, both of them, exactly as they are?
