Qrow once counted his relationship with James among the best things in his life, but his fear of commitment drove him to flee when his name cropped up on the other Sentinel’s medical forms. Now they’re sharing space again for the first time in six years, but James's devotion to Atlas - and the Guide at the other end of his new bond – have surely filled any room Qrow used to take up in his heart.
James has been struggling to bear up under the world held on his shoulders, but seeing Qrow again ought to be a breath of fresh air. Except Qrow’s been avoiding him, and while James’s stubbornness and self-denial have been coming between himself and Clover, his bonded Guide has been spending more and more time with the one who got away.
Clover may be able to sense other people’s feelings, but that doesn’t mean he understands them – especially since both James and Qrow have taken pains to close themselves off. It’d be nice if anyone here would actually talk to him, but getting that kind of honesty from either Sentinel might as well take a miracle.
And strange things are stirring on the other side of Amity…
