For Judy, this is just a little nugget of information that sends her on her frantic drive to foil Smellwether's evil plot. But Terry had to deal with that guilt on his own for all those decades.

Summary
In Zootopia, 'Love Doctor' is a colloquial term given to sex educators, and mammals most often seek their help when looking to pursue an interspecies relationship. Love Doctors surreptitiously advertise their services in places like the back of phone books or in alleyway fliers, as what they do is looked down upon by some as open encouragement of deviancy.
Violet Hopps is one such educator, hosting a text help line. One night, she is contacted by a fox looking for advice.

A sweet and unexpected fic building on a single sad scene from Zootopia to create a lovely couple and put them through a heartbreaking ordeal. Good use of Dramatic Irony (where the readers know exactly why predators are going savage, but the characters have no idea).

Summary
The Honeywell Genetic Counselling Centre is one of the most advanced research facilities in Zootopia. It was the product of the failed hopes of two of Zootopia’s pioneers in genetic therapies, and their last gift to their city. They were an interspecies couple, who yearned for a child of their own. Genetics is not kind however, and outside of a very narrow range, these pairings invariably lead to sorrow.
This is a story of pain, loss, but maybe some hope. Then again, hope is the cruelest joke played on the desperate.
In case you haven’t noticed this isn’t going to be a very happy story. Consider yourself warned. Blame u/WildeNick on Reddit for prodding me into writing this first bit.

The first Zootopia fic I've seen that's committed to being a Whodunnit, and doing it well.
Also a send-up of police procedurals, a pretty haunting depiction of the effects of chemotherapy on a furred species, some sad but plausible backstory for Nick, and a realistic look at the severity of head injuries.
