Summary
A few tears trailed down his face as he realized the gravity of the situation, cursing himself for being too stubborn to let go of his past. Cere had warned him about this, about losing himself in the mission without regard for his friends, and when Greez got hurt, he should have stopped. Instead, he kept going, his ambition bringing an end to his crew. He was at least glad they were all alive and pursuing their dreams instead of being dragged along by his obsession with defeating the empire.

As the team unfortunately splits, with each one going their separate way, Cal remains alone with BD-1 on the mantis while he struggles to cope with the departure of his friends. Things go sour for him as he catches the attention of his enemies on a distant planet.
