Summary
After the destruction of the Eclipse Canon, Sonic is left grieving the loss of a new ally. One night, he wishes on a shooting star that this ally is at peace. Or better yet, somehow, miraculously, he survived the explosion.
What Sonic didn't expect was that shooting star to quickly come crashing down to Earth.
Sonic kicks open the door to the Wachowski family home, cradling something in his arms. It's Shadow. Covered in burns and filth. But most importantly, clinging to life by a thread.
Maybe miracles do happen.

This story is purely inspired by the book "Words on Bathroom Walls" by Julia Walton. Specifically the movie. Scenes are re-written to be similar to the movie, just make it Sonadow. Meaning that everyone in the story will not have their powers and such. No fantasy.
Anyway, you should read/watch it whenever you get the chance. (my favorite book/movie ever for some reasons, idk I love it.)

Shadow clutched at his mask with one hand. His eyes were looking down to the floor and his shoulders were trembling. He was terrified. And he wasn’t fighting or fleeing, just bracing himself for the retribution he thought was coming.
Tom approached slowly. Shadow refused to look at him.
“Hey,” Tom said gently. He knelt by the couch, making himself smaller and less threatening. “You don’t have to look at me if you don’t want to. I’d like you to listen to me, is that okay?”

Sonic responds to a GUN report about an object falling from space, and goes to retrieve what he expects to be Shadow's corpse. Instead, he finds an alive Shadow who needs a lot of help to get back on his feet. Thankfully, he knows a safe place to rest.
