Summary
Percy nodded more to himself than to her and took his hand of the water handle.
Now, not knowing what to do with it, he brushed her braids out of the way in order to clean her entire back from the blood. Then he placed his hand on Annabeth’s shoulder.To his surprise, she didn’t flinch away, he could hear her sharp inhale though and he was thinking he maybe crossed a line. Until Annabeth’s hand came up slowly and brushed his, interlacing their ring fingers.
Or: Annabeth has a very dangerous and confusing interaction with a monster, after she seeks Percys help since she is emotionally and physically drenched. Percy helps her getting cleaned up, in a pretty... intimate way.

Summary
This is an alternative Version of what could have happened on the Boat in S2, when Percy and Annabeth were heading to the Island of Polyphemus. When Percy wakes up having a Nightmare, Annabeth talks to him about his concerns, as we all know, but in my version he cant fall asleep and goes out to the deck. Annabeth, whom he thought was asleep, goes after him... Anyways, bla bla bla, some stuff happens, some accidental falling asleep is being done and it just happens to be, that they wake up on the deck together the next morning. In the same blanket, hugging in their sleep. And as it goes with Hormone filled, awkward Teenagers, who dont know how to adress their Emotions properly, its quite entertainig to read about how they try to act it cool.
