“It’s at least worth a try,” Dream encouraged, at this point he would take any chance they had. He didn't know what he would do if George couldn't get this machine to work again.
“Alright,” George agreed, getting started again. His fingers flew over the keyboard as he clicked from one tab to another. And at that moment George looked almost as confident as Skeppy always did. “And there we go,” George said, the smile on his face bright and confident as he went to press the enter key to finish whatever he had just done.
For just a second Dream felt hopeful again, genuinely believing that they had finally done it. But it only lasted for that one second before George actually pressed the key, because as he did suddenly all the lights went out.
