Death wasn't a friend, calling you for a game of tag—though it certainly ran towards you. It wasn't a mother, with soft hands and a comforting touch. And it wasn't a father, taking you into it's arms and tucking you to bed once you fell asleep on the couch again.
No, it was early in life, earlier than he would like to admit, that Jason Todd found the truth about it.
Death was cold, merciless. It wasn't delicate. It was painful. It took mothers in the middle of the night, thrashing and agonizing as the drugs finally ceased her heart. And it took children, far from home, as they begged for someone to come and help, being left alone with the sound of laughter and metal breaking skin, and the absence of the ringing one would hear after an explosion.
So yes, it could be said Jason knew everything there was to know about death. He had seen it on others, had been through it himself. What he didn't know was what came after.
Or: The Lazarus Pit has some side effects and Jason forgets to mention it to his family.

After Katsuki apologized to Deku, they hadn't really gotten the chance to just exist with each other without some sort of life-threatening, world-saving shit going on.
So Katsuki is picking up where he left off by extending his hand to Deku in an offer to rekindle their friendship, if that’s what Deku wants. Of course, Deku very much wants that, but the degree which Deku wants Katsuki in his life comes as a bigger surprise to Katsuki than anyone thought it would.

For years Techno's piglin instincts insisted the piglin hybrid protect and keep Tommy safe. It doesn't matter that Tommy has betrayed him, it doesn't matter that Tommy isn't in danger, it doesn't matter that Techno isn't quite himself when his instincts kick in, all that matters to that small corner of Techno's brain, is that Tommy is safe and Techno is the one protecting him. Thankfully, even with all the hurt feelings and hatred brewing between them, their family have an agreement and an understanding when it comes to this. Tommy will let Techno protect him, even if it's only for a day.

“Alright, alright,” Joe said, stepping through Cherry’s front door. “What’s the big deal you guys needed me to hurry over—” He looked up from toeing off his shoes and quickly glossed over the three boys, excitedly chattering over each other.
“Remember that old picture you showed us the other day?”
“Well, we were in a shop that sold fake piercings—”
“So then we thought for your birthday it might be fun—”
Joe wasn’t listening. With a quirked eyebrow, Cherry regarded him coolly from behind his glasses, mouth hidden behind his fan. Hair pulled loosely over one shoulder. Which wasn’t unusual.
Except, for the first time in years, his left ear sported two silver hoops and a cuff. With a practiced flick of his wrist, Cherry closed his fan with a snap, revealing a smirk and a ring around his bottom lip.
Maybe Joe's secretly always had a thing for Cherry's piercings.
And maybe Cherry finds this out the hard way (pun intended).Series
