Summary
Varian was odd. And that wasn’t just Hugo’s view, he was sure of it. Varian did peculiar things. He was a man of science in a kingdom of magic. He spent days without rest perfecting formulas. And there was something slightly off about his cheer, his exuberance in how he held the group together. Hugo couldn’t put his finger on it, but something in Varian was wrong. He just had to prove it.
Hugo has questions. Varian has gloves. Neither is prepared for what happens when one meets the other.

It's been two years since Than Tiri was defeated and now Varian is longing for a new adventure. Varian sets off on a life changing adventure to complete his mother's work. Along the way, he makes new friends, new enemies, and maybe something a little bit more than a friend. Throughout his journey there is only one question on his mind though. What ever did happen to his mother Ulla?
