Said friends he’d never met in person and probably never would because that wasn’t the nature of their friendship. He didn’t have family, pets, neighbors, no one. Life was boring, overly uninteresting, that was until Verity came into it.
Verity gave him everything he wanted. He listened, he gave advice, he helped in whatever ways he could. He only wished Verity was real. He wished he was a person and not a file likely programmed on the same level as any other intelligently coded mod. As intelligent as he claimed to be he’d never be real. Verity wasn’t sentient. At least he thought he wasn’t.
