Frank felt like he was going insane. The realization that he was being watched was a slow and insidious dawning, a creeping dread that had haunted his every waking moment for weeks. It had begun with small, insignificant things: a shadow glimpsed in his peripheral vision that vanished when he turned his head, footsteps echoing just behind him when he walked alone in the city at night.
It was a gnawing feeling, a constant itch he couldn't scratch. Everywhere he went, he could feel that he was being followed, haunted by an invisible and insidious presence.
