Vance smiled. It was a cold smile. “The money is green. And right now, the gays, the girls, and the… whatever the hell 'furries' are… possess a lot of green. And they want to give it to us.” He turned back to Crowell. “If we deny this,” Vance said, “we alienate a massive new customer base. We look like out of touch dinosaurs. The stock drops. The revenue dries up. We go back to fighting with the NBA for scraps of the market share."
A fic where homophobia and corporate greed duke it out, and to no one's surprise, its another victory for capitalism.

"We're setting you up with a billet situation," Fletcher continued. "It's pretty common for first-year players, especially international guys. Gives you a chance to settle in, learn the city, have someone looking out for you."
"Okay," Ilya said slowly, not entirely sure what a billet was, but not wanting to admit his ignorance.
He could guess from the context – he’d heard of rookies being assigned to live with older single players, veterans who could show them the ropes. Maybe that was what Fletcher meant. Connors maybe, he was probably a handful of years older than Ilya. Or perhaps Becker. Ilya just hoped it was someone who–
"You'll be staying with Nikolai Petrov and his family."
The words hit Ilya like a punch to the gut. For a moment, he forgot how to breathe.
"Petrov?" he managed, his voice coming out strangled.

Summary
After coming out to Rose, Shane decides he doesn't want to lie anymore, even if he isn't sure coming out will mean he gets happily ever after with Ilya. When coming out to the Voyageurs leaves him wondering what his future in Montreal might look like, he lets himself be a little selfish, he lets himself wonder if there might be somewhere else he might be happy. If Montreal wants to get rid of a generational player, he's not about to stop them, especially if it means he can get a little closer to joy.

Summary
It's been three weeks since Ilya first arrived at the cottage. And as the summer comes to a close, Shane and Ilya prepare for Ilya's return to Boston and the start of a new NHL season. They've made a plan for the future, but will that be enough to sustain their relationship? Soon, Ilya and Shane realise that maintaining their relationship is more challenging than either of them expected. Navigating jealousy and longing, while also maintaining their professional and very public personas, is no easy feat. Especially as they both begin to doubt if they can trust each other while spending weeks apart. It was so much easier when they weren't taking this seriously, but there's no turning back now. Or is there?
Based on the original Game Changers Series by Rachel Reid. Spoiler Alert - Please note that the intention is for this fanfiction to be in line with Game Changers canon. Before You Go takes place between the events of Heated Rivalry (Chapter 27) and the Long Game. Some references to other books in the Game Changers series may appear.

Summary
Shane and Ilya are very competitive. When Shane bets that Ilya wouldn’t be able to not have sex with him, Ilya takes that as a real challenge. They both decide to wager on it. Whoever caves first loses. This is not a clean competition however. Both men have lustfully devious tricks up their sleeves to further secure their own victory.
OR
Shane and Ilya make a bet on who will surrender/beg first when it comes to sex. Keep in mind, both men are horny animals. Ensue even hornier teasing from both parties over the course of a week until they both explode like nuclear bombs. Pun intended.
