Deku’s bedroom’s about the same as Katsuki imagined it. He perches on the edge of the absurdly soft bed, trying not to think about Aunty Inko staring at him like he had two heads. "Why’d you come, Kacchan? Is everything okay?”
“I’m sorry,” Katsuki says without preamble. Just like he rehearsed on the way over here. “I’ve been an asshole for most of our lives and you didn’t deserve that.”
“I, uhm –”
“You’re way too fucking sweet for your own good. You should have kicked me out instead of letting me in your room. You shouldn’t have –” kissed me, he doesn’t say. “Been nice to me after I was a jerk. I shouldn’t have been a jerk. I never even noticed how much I liked having you around until I left.”
“You liked having me around?” Deku asks, expression going soft. Katsuki rubs his sweaty hands on his jeans. Slowly, Deku scoots forward in his chair until their knees almost touch. “Is that why you started talking to me again, Kacchan? I wondered if maybe you were just bored but I thought – I’d hoped maybe you finally wanted to be friends.”
Katsuki’s chest clenches. “I did. I do.”
(Katsuki moves to Tokyo after middle school. Izuku, against all odds, ends up going with him.)

Summary
Katsuki Bakugo, a lonely vampire who drinks blood vials in a broom closet wants to leave the city and return home to his town of isolated countryside town, Duskthorne. He fell in love with a young werewolf there, Izuku Midoriya, but his parents don't want him to return home.
He accepts a new job opportunity, allowing him to return back to his home, where violence plagues the local vampires and werewolves. When he finally sees Midoriya for the first time in twelve years, everything changes. Is this why his mother told him not to come back? Was it the violence or was it the explosive feelings the Midoriya set in his chest?
