The war is over, Voldemort is dead, and everyone is celebrating. Well, not everyone - Sirius is too busy terrorizing the Ministry over their new anti-creatures legislation. And when he's not hexing Mrs Umbrigde's bob hot pink, he's trying to get Remus to marry him. For legal reasons, of course. He just doesn't want his best friend to get exiled. So he proposes, like any good mate would. Totally platonic. Uh-uh.

“It's not a Grim, Harry,” Remus replies, flatly. “What the hell are you doing here?” he asks it.
The dog huffs, whines, and shows its belly. Remus frowns at it. The dog pads across to Ron and Remus steps in the way, the dog whining again and looking very pointedly at Ron's pocket.
“What's in your pocket, Ron?”

Summary
It’s a flurry of limbs. James doesn’t waste a second pulling him inside - or maybe that’s for practicality sake. If Sirius saw them together he’d lose it on account of them being them, and if Remus saw them together he’d lose it on account of it being the night before his wedding.
Or, Regulus and James are friends with benefits. All hell breaks loose.

The warm, July sun is unadulterated in its naked heat; blisteringly sweet and unbearingly heavy. It makes Sirius’ shirt cling to his chest, turns his bones lazy, and it colours Remus’ cheeks with a dusting of honey freckles.
So many freckles.
So many that Sirius wonders where they all hide in the frosty, winter months.
