Hans opened his mouth. Closed it. Opened it again, clearly searching for an argument that did not immediately collapse under the weight of reality “This is your solution?” he demanded. “This – this indignity?”
Henry gestured broadly. “You arrived at my door announcing you had something stuck inside you. We passed dignity some time ago.”
Hans flushed a violent shade of red that seemed to start at his collar and climb steadily upward “That is beside the point.”
“It is exactly the point.”
“I am not…” Hans stopped, shifting awkwardly again and immediately wincing. His resolve faltered. “I am not putting myself on display.”
“You won’t be on display,” Henry said, exasperation creeping in. “You’ll be under a blanket. In a closed room. With one very unfortunate blacksmith.”
