Summary
The black bird follows her out of the bedroom into the study, flapping its wings four or five times until its claws touch the surface of her desk. Despite its evident struggle in its multitasking, it never ceases its song. However, its bird’s lung capacity is failing. The difficult melodic climax has it shrieking without abandon. Vautour Bleu winces. When the melody finishes, she couldn’t bring herself to clap; Raven has made a travesty of the original tune. She regrets selling her gramophone, but she is rather fond of her new alarm clock.

“Hm?”
Jean rarely asked heavy questions. It was not that she was simple-minded or emotionless, she just never had any time. So, Lisa was a little shocked, a little confused and a little delighted that she was successful in distracting the industrious Acting Grand Master from her paperwork, even if only for a minute.
“From Sumeru Academia,” Jean clarified.
Lisa corrected her immediately, as if it was the most important distinction in the world, with a flippant deflection, “I didn’t come back to Mondstadt; I left Sumeru.”

One night, Jean ponders too deeply during the late, late hours, even though she’s still in her office working, even though the resident librarian, Lisa, is there to become victim to her philosophical contemplations, along with her own feelings towards her.

Tanya filed for yet another divorce after she found out about her filthy rich, filthy scumbag husband's affair with a younger woman. Not that much younger apparently, though she'd argue that purple hair takes twenty years off your age, she digresses. Brokenhearted but mostly irked that she signed a prenup, she attends her best friend's cookbook launch event for the unlimited booze. There's lights, there's people, there's music, there's liquor, and there's the other woman. She ought to seize the chance to tell her a few choice words.
It's a flimsy plan.
