What really happened to the Traveler after they tried to escape Sumeru city during the Samsara? What happened to them for two days? They wanted to know back then, they were so curious and confused as to what could have happened.
Agony beyond mortal comprehension happened. Being killed over and over happened. Pain and torment worthy of inhumane torture happened. They wished they just stayed in blissful ignorance, but the human mind is cruel; everything has returned in their nightmares.

Conflicts… and the worse it gets, the worse their body must fair these supposed consequences. At this rate, they don’t know what to do, and resort to the only comfort they had; hiding their face until they can bear to see themselves again.

Summary
For Freminet, taking the brunt of what he thought was an acid attack aimed towards Spina di Rosula's boss was nothing more than a split second decision. He wouldn't call himself a hero by any stretch of the imagination, and he wouldn't say he led his life with noble and virtuous intentions either...
...but when the urge to help someone comes to him, he ponders little over it. That's just what a good person would do, and Freminet desperately wants to be a good.
(Still, maybe he should have paid more attention to just what was being splashed.)

Freminet dissolves into water. That really should have been the end of it, but it seems like the ocean wasn't keen on letting him go yet.
