Summary
Every so often, the Entity grows bored of normal Trial shenanigans. Usually when such a thing happens, the entire Realm will feel it. The sudden arrival of snowmen and piles of snowballs, or gaudy blue and gold ribbons and game changing magics were impossible to miss after all. Not that most of the Killers or Survivors minded these events. They were rich with blood points and other rewards, allowing them to barter for more clothes, food, or items to help them during their Trials.
But sometimes the Entity wants something… different. Personal. Targeted. Looking down from her web, ethereal eyes peer through fog and trees, seeking her favorite little play thing. There, sleeping by the campfire, is Dwight.
Reaching out with an invisible claw, the Entity leaves a new mark on the Survivor. Invisible. Unseen. But oozing with a strange magnetism… Yes… This should be very entertaining…

“The ruins of the Raccoon City Police Department,” Zeno finally answered, and he sounded solemn, like it was a loss. Like he remembered something.
He kissed her jaw tenderly, like he was handling something fragile, then spooned his head against her neck. The dark scarring of his face was rough and rigid against her cheek, like sandpaper, and for some reason – after everything she’d been through tonight – it was welcome. He was warm. And heavy. She was full. She was safe. No clicking of typewriters here. Nothing lurking in the dark. Finally. He’d promised that.

Jayce wanted to pull Viktor behind him and face the intruder down himself, but Viktor was in full scientist mode and would not be deterred even if Jayce tried. A hesitant hand reached forward, Jayce watching as Viktor brushed over the large golden gear screwed tight to the inside of the man’s knee. Breathlessly, he said, “We match.”
Jayce watched his own eyes soften, expression momentarily twitching in pain as he leaned on his hammer and lowered himself into a crouch. With his free hand, he gently gripped Viktor’s chin with his thumb and forefinger. “I never thought I’d get to see you like this again, Viktor.”
