Zhongli took the infant from Childe, cradling him in his arms. The child bore a striking resemblance to his father, but his blue eyes were full of light, shining as he studied Zhongli curiously.
“You know how to hold a baby.” Childe’s hands were shaking slightly as he conjured Hydro to fill a small bottle.
“I have lived a very long time,” Zhongli said, “and I have an impeccable memory. Whatever you are running from, Childe, you will find safe harbor with me.”
