    Summary

    Have been doing some X-23 reading lately (Graphic novels were on sale in the discount bin, $3). Interesting variation of a rather repeated theme. Then I got to thinking about the story line where Laura is dealing with a demon pursuing her in her dreams on Utopia and her ongoing concerns about being human and having a soul.

    This clicked on a little Snowflake on Ice vignette I had been toying with writing. Turned out to be longer story then the usual vignette so I wrote it as a separate document.

    Then there was a reader's request that I write more. I supprised myself by coming up with more content.

    Chapter 6 is comedy.

    Summary

    Been doing some thinking about Illyana's journey that she took in pursuit of her soul. She spent years doing it, yet we only have a few panels in the relauched new Mutants that briefly touched upon it. Some of my snowflake on ice vignettes touch upon aspects of that journey, but no real stories exist about it anywhere.

    Decided to try my hand at it. Major crossover writing opportunity as Illyana traverses space and time. I suppose this is the sequel to the story Mosh Pit. First story is going to be an Anita Blake vampire hunter crossover.

    As always looking for feedback. And I might add an opportunity for you to suggest something on this ongoing set of stories.

    Note the Anita Blake story actually starts on chapter 2. Chap 1 is kind of a short story.

    Illyana didn't hear the gunshot.

    What she did hear was Kitty shouting.

    “Magik! Watch out!”

    She just finished pummeling her hilt into a man’s head when she turned to see Kitty jumping in front of her. Her back was to Illyana, so she didn't see the bullet enter her stomach. Just the painful recoil of her body hitting the floor, revealing the sight of a U-Man with a handgun pointed directly at her.
