An injection of adrenaline brought her eyes back up to whatever she could lay her gaze upon — aha! The washed dishes on the counter, and steadied her grip — and breath — while her cheeks were not so mysteriously burning. She held her still, listening to her body cues, to the quiet hum of So Mi’s fans, feeling the rise and fall of her more steady breaths, waiting for the moment the woman’s body would tell her she was coming back.
Then her eyes became as wide as those magnificent dishes as she realised she had done the perhaps most stupid thing she could’ve ever done in her life — for So Mi to come back, she was supposed to plug those wires back in.
An evening which could've gone terribly wrong. But it ended up clumsily right.
