    Trey stared at him, utterly speechless.

    “I’m gonna go die quietly now.” Y/n tried walking away, but Trey caught him by the sleeve of his apron before he could escape. Y/n stopped, slowly turning back around.

    Trey still looked startled, but there was also unmistakable fondness spreading slowly across his face now, warm enough to make Y/n’s chest ache.

    “You kissed me,” Trey stated.

    “I’m aware,” Y/n lamented.

    “That was bold.”

    Y/n grimaced, “I’ve made several mistakes tonight.”
