Summary
When Tzeentch approached him with a new bargain after what was left of his legion had been forced to retreat into the Eye, Magnus hadn’t hesitated a moment to accept. The children he had lost to the flesh change, Tzeentch would call their souls back as they once were, uncorrupted and untainted, to be born anew. All Magnus would have to do was build them from the flesh and blood of his body. After everything else that had happened, it would be an easy sacrifice to make.
Despite easily being about to use biomancy to change his body to create the necessary organs in a traditionally male body, it had felt right to shift completely instead, at least for the very first pregnancy. It was a new, exciting experience and she wanted to feel every moment of it as mortals did. The strange food cravings, the sore breasts, the morning sickness that had stretched well into the afternoon. Ahzek had once described her as literally glowing with joy the first time she had sensed the little hearts fluttering to life in her womb. 9 weeks. 9 blissful, perfect weeks. Not even the aftermath of the Siege could ruin this for her.

The library itself held a very small collection, hidden in the far back on the bottom shelves where an astartes was unlikely to notice them. Caelum had flipped through them, unsure of what he was expecting to find. It definitely wasn’t tales of buxom women being kidnapped by arrogant Inquisitors for information that was apparently being kept between her legs, or of beautiful rebels being led back into the Emperor’s light by stern Interrogators.
But those were nothing compared to the books he would find in the keepings of traitors and heretics. Here, it was his brothers and cousins who were both the source of obsession and the obsessors.

Jake must have been waiting by the door, or heard the sound of Finn's boots on the stairs, for almost as soon as Finn finished knocking came the quiet click of the door being unlocked. Sharp blue eyes flicked over him as Jake stepped aside, beckoning him inside the apartment with a casual wave of his hand. “Ran into any issues out there?”
“No, all quiet.” And thank God for that. Finn did not want to explain what he was doing out here if a squad followed the sound of gunshots. Grinning up at his boyfriend, Finn flicked off his torch, tucking it into his coat pocket, only to pull out a small container instead. “I brought the sour cream you asked for.” That in itself had been a strange request, when Finn had asked if Jake wanted him to bring anything for tonight. It had taken a fine hand of bartering and some slight begging, but he had managed to get his hands on a small container of sour cream. Even if he wasn’t exactly sure what Jake had in mind for it.
Jake’s crooked grin softened into something warm, a calloused hand coming up to cup Finn’s jaw as he lent down to steal a kiss from Finn’s lips. “Knew I could count on you, boy scout. Now come on, I’m making latkes.”

Staring down at the two cheerful lines of pink, Rita beat back the inane urge to giggle over the fact that it was a salad that is going to make her fat. A store bought salad a few weeks ago had landed her with a nasty case of food poisoning and a prescription of antibiotics, with strict orders to take them twice a day until the box was empty, no matter if she started feeling better before then. Unfortunately, there had been no warning that the type of antibiotics she was taking would have an effect on her birth control pills and that they should have switched to condoms for a while instead.
