Before handing over a blueberry muffin from the bakery you go to every single morning before work. Nick has gotten tired of you complaining to Daphne and Morgan about your failed dating life. So he decides to take action, but what happens when you don't register that he's flirting with you for the past year and a half. Nick is on his last leg trying to get you to let him treat you right. So when you show about to a party at his house that's he's throwing for everyone, in a little black dress with kitten heels, Nick can't keep his eyes off you.

Dana raised an eyebrow. “Never seen a coffee pot?”
“Like, I’ve never seen the pot itself, you know? Just, like, the espresso machines at Starbucks, Keurigs—those sort of things.”
Dana’s arched eyebrow ticked up a centimeter higher as she squinted at Emma for a long moment.
Abruptly anxious beneath her scrutiny, Emma reached for her waist to fidget with something, only to remember the charge nurse had plucked most of her belongings from her pockets on arrival. She settled with flicking her name badge between her fingers.
“Kid, are you younger than this coffee maker?”

Day 298.
Dennis sat at the same desk, dim lamp behind him. “If something happens,” he said quietly, “I hope the right person sees this.”
Robby’s breath caught. Dennis looked directly into the camera.
Determined in a way that’s begun to feel familiar.
“I wrote his name down today,” Dennis continued. “He doesn’t know me. But he knows patterns. He’ll understand the structure. He’ll see it.”
Robby’s pulse pounded in his ears. The right person.
His name. Robby’s name.
Dennis smiled faintly.
“He seemed tired at the diner,” Dennis added softly. “Like someone who stopped believing in institutions but still wants to. I hope I’m right about him.”

Summary
