The air inside smelt of danger, and fear, and death. She never had to be more on-edge than here and now. But an agreement was made, and she would not die-aside from her own mistakes. But with certain death outside, and conditions at least somewhat favorable for life surviving more than a day underground, Chell didn't exactly have any options. Surely that was the only reason she was sleeping soundly in Aperture? Though… GLaDOS’s singing certainly didn't hurt.

Summary
A horrible dream spirals into another.
Lace is awoken by a terrible cry similar to her own. In the dead of night, she leaves behind her new life in Bellhart in search of the creature responsible for such a forlorn yearning far too familiar.
What she discovers is a betrayal that will shake her to her core, threatening to steal and destroy the peaceful, wonderful life she had finally managed to scrap together for the two women she loves.
