He glares at her over the table and she knows she’s hit just the right nerve with her stupid little offhand remark. She smiles back and licks her lower lip - turning her head to whisper something wholly unrelated in Percival’s ear just to watch Vax shift uneasily in his seat and look down at the table silently. He excuses himself to the water closet moments later and as always, she finds a reason to be the only one going after him. “Brother…” She says firmly when she slips into his room and he slams the door behind them.
“Why?” He hisses, the glare even more intense in the dim lighting. “Why would you say that sort of thing? Why in front of everyone? In front of her?”
