I read everything in one night. Beautiful, funny and dramatic. I love chilumi family and the way Alina was written felt pretty unique to me. Morally grey situations where no one is at fault but also everyone is at the same time is pretty good too. I loved it.

Summary
Childe always talks when he fucks her. He coaxes and teases, orders her around when she needs it and begs so prettily when she wants it, presses endearments into her skin and utter filth into her mouth. Lumine has heard every variation of the multitude of ways in which he talks to her as he fucks her, but she has never once heard him be truly mean. Not even when she whines for it. It's a line he seems firmly incapable of crossing, his closest attempt a far cry from what Lumine desperately wants.
Fortunately, his friends have no qualms crossing it for him.

Lumine blinked. Just holding hands should be fine, right? She often did it with her brother and friends, for free. And now Childe was offering to pay her for something so simple like that, for seventy thousand mora, no less!
“Well, I guess…”
“Great!” With that, Childe swung on his chair, facing her. He was looking up at her, the same self-confident smile on his face. He put his hand in front of him, palm facing up. “Hand.”
This already felt like the start of something foul.

This is my favorite Chilumi fanfic. It has everything I love: TONS of angst, drama, characters who are bad at feelings, slow burn, happy ending. It should be noted that I loved the paramedic/firefighter setting and how well they are portrayed. There were moments that filled me with rage, others that left me in shock, and many others that made me cry at 6 in the morning. I cried a lot, yes.
I have to reread it soon. I really loved it.

This fic made me cry at 3 AM. While I'm a fan of all kinds of stories, I love finding fanfics like these: dark themes that explore the deepest sadness but have a happy and hopeful ending. 💙 And being short, it was very easy to read for a newbie who still has trouble with English.
