Shane and Ilya sometimes talk after sex, sometimes they talk before. That’s normal. It’s fine it doesn’t mean anything. It’s fun to talk to someone who has the same opinions on hockey as they do, and it’s fun to share the team gossip with someone whose probably not going to leak it, right?
Or; 3 times when the Hollanov Gossip session after sex lead to on ice consequences (see: chirping) and it confused everyone but was harmless and the 2 times it was mean, because they deserve it as a treat. And the once (1) it becomes a fight

Notes: crazy interesting idea. it feel a bit out of character, or maybe the setting it just too different for it to feel like the show, and not that I'm complaing, 'cause I'd like to read a whole novel about these two! it feels like there's so much backstory and more details to their story that I want to know so bad :( the romcom characters of my dreams, actually <333

When Eddie drunkenly confesses that he’s gay and in love with Steve, it takes time and no small amount of awkwardness to return their friendship to where it had been before. Because if neither of them wants to lose the other, what other choice is there? They both know that Steve isn’t queer and can’t ever return Eddie’s feelings… right?
