   Summary

   “I know today is a special day,” he began slowly. Shinobu’s hand froze over the coffee pot.
   “You...” she stammered. “I... yeah. I didn’t think you would bring it up.” She inexplicably blushed and hung her head.
   Why wouldn’t he? Before she became visibly flustered, Kira was working out a comforting spiel in his head in case it did turn out to be some remembrance of a tragic kind. Kira’s right little finger twitched ever so slightly. He knew he couldn’t stand there dumbfounded.
   Then Kira asked a question that he would kick himself over and over for all morning and afternoon.
   “Would you like to go somewhere together?”
