Thw original movie is just so lovely, sad, understandable and poignant, and this fanfiction gives it such a happy eding which one only could whish for the main protagonist. It is well earned, through struggle, and if the first 2 chapters are written more like for a one-shot or mini format, the last of them get more serious, worked-through, with much more depth of all the characters involved. The curing from alcoholism is depicted very realistically and you can really learn from the work about it and the psychology behind it. Great read!

The Quarry sucks, BUT this one fanfic gem is a proove of how one can make a jewel out of any idea by having talent, sense and sensibility to write a good story. Really good, slight horror wiyh lots of psychologucal dives-in and insides.
