“This door is locked and we can’t break it.”
“Seriously? Whatever it is you can leave it for the cops to deal with. We seriously got to go.”
Mildred was startled by the childlike voice responding to the men outside, but Mildred tried not to dwell on it after hearing such worrying information. The authorities were on their way. Mildred couldn’t let herself get caught by them, it would cause too many problems, too many questions. She didn’t have the time to deal with that. Mildred quickly made her way across the room to the door and impatiently banged on the door.
“HEY, LET ME OUT!” She yelled in addition, making sure that she was getting her point across. Luckily she got the response she was looking for.
“What the hell?! Why didn’t you guys tell me there was a kid in there!” The one called Lucy Ann said, followed by the sound of tearing metal. The door swung open, the light from the hall was blinding in comparison to the dark room. Mildred rubbed her eyes trying to adjust to the sudden transition.
“Dear god…”

Summary
After leaving his original dimension for his own safety, going off the rails in grief for a period, and finally processing enough to be mildly human again, Danny is ready to give this whole 'living' thing a try again.
He's in Gotham, in a dimension that he's grown fond of, and trying to lay down roots so that he can survive comfortably. Unfortunately, he can't recall how to make friends. Also, he doesn't want anyone to know he's actually dead because what if something like the GIW happen here?
Regardless, if he wants to stay, he needs to have a support circle to help his obsessions from ripping his mind from him again, which means he needs to befriend people, which means he needs to figure out how to speak to the Bats of Gotham.
This would be easier if there wasn't a cult trying to bring in ghosts from the Infinite Realms to cause havoc and give Danny a bad name.

Scott is an ancient elder vampire who is trapped in Oakhurst. Thankfully though, he has his husband Abolish at least. He and Abolish find themselves growing closer to their roommate Shelby, but what will the town do when they find out there are vampires amongst them? And how will this new, strange family unit face the strange challenges coming their way?
Basically I thought Scott and Abolish are totally girl dads and we all needed to have baby bat Shelby. The first chapter is a VERY short prologue/pilot I guess? The rest will hopefully be longer!
