Summary
The aftermath is quiet. When their feet touch back down to the Namsan Tower stage and the bright sunlight cast as they formed new honmoon fades away, night reclaiming Seoul, Rumi doesn't hear the thousands upon thousands of fans surrounding them. She doesn't hear much of anything. She doesn't feel much of anything. It's like her world has narrowed to her hands, and Zoey and Mira's hands clasped in them. But even that feels barely there. She's barely there.
They won. Now they have all the time in the world to pick up the pieces. And for Rumi to learn how to live a life that isn't just waiting to die.
UPDATE: it'll take a bit but we are in fact headed towards Polytrix before this fic ends cuz I NEED IT.

The implication laid heavy in the room, because of course Mira was talking about the three of them behind the stage. Divided. Scared.
“I don't know, maybe,” She shrugged, trying to shake the night from her head. It wasn’t that big of a deal, not enough to be having flashbacks, or panic attacks, or whatever.
It could have been the fight with Gwi-Ma, probably, definitely was.

In the aftermath of Eugene's attack during the Rave'N, Wednesday is spiralling, revealing a side of her that Enid had never seen before. Enid wants so desperately to help but Wednesday just wants to be alone and pushes her away.
Wednesday's inability to process her emotions leads her on a self-destructive and unhinged path and Enid can't stand by idly no matter how much she might lash out. In her guilt and grief, Wednesday punishes herself and Enid isn't having it. She's going to help her whether she likes it or not. But how could she convince her that Eugene's attack wasn't her fault? And how can she comfort someone who doesn't want to be comforted?

Well. This is harder than them just killing her, Rumi thinks. Maybe she shouldn’t be surprised, because Zoey has always enjoyed the hunt, performing each fight like it’s a sort of game of cat-and-mouse, and this is...the same thing, Rumi thinks. Just another demon to be dealt with.
“Rumi,” Mira presses, her voice closer than it had been.
Rumi almost wants to laugh. Great. The world’s worst cat-and-mouse game, where they’re apparently treating her like a friend before they kill her. That’s great. Celine would be so proud that they’re fulfilling all their hunter duties of taking care of each other while killing demons.
“Rumi, I need you to talk to me,” Zoey says, her voice getting a little more insistent. “Can you tell me how long you’ve had these?”
“Forever,” Rumi rasps out, because, well, they’ve caught her. She’s been effortlessly caught in a trap, and there’s no use trying to gnaw off her own arm to escape it. She’s tried before; her patterns exist beyond just branding on her skin.
